The Fool Gunji & Adapter Fukusuke – Munich 2013 At the concert in Munich at the 10th February 2013 wasn’t it possible to request Gunji, because he stayed in London at this time. They visited a restaurant before and someone stole his wallet. The important documents were lost like his Passport. Because of this situation he couldn’t travel to Germany at this day for his concert. So that the only person we were interviewed was Fukusuke of Adapter.
1) Hello Fukusuke!
Good evening!
2) Please introduce yourself.
I am Fukusuke of Adapter!
3) When and how did you find out that you want to make music together?
At a long time ago we were dreamed about a tour together. Now it would be true. At this trip we had some troubles, so that Gunji cannot sit here at the moment. But I get it! Last year in Toronto in Canada we were try it to go together, but it wasn’t possible. So that we were saying the next tour is ours. So we did it, but now I am sitting here alone again.
4) How did you meet Gunji?
Before I changed the management and my boss spoke with me about a tour for oversea, Gunji and The Fool came to me and gave me support.
5) Have your instruments a name?
The guitar I use today is not my own one. If you know it is really complicated to bring your own equipment from Japan to Europe. In Japan I only use TARUBO brand. I canít play with something else. But I don’t give them special names.
6) Fukusuke, did you ever been in Europe before?
No, I wasn’t. This is my first time that I am in Europe on tour.
7) If you compare Europe with Japan, is there anything you are wondering about?
Through the traveling in Europe every day I didn’t know what time it is when somebody asked me. I was afraid about it. I didnít know that Europe have so much timelines.
8) Please, describe what do you like of Gunji? What did you think is so special about him you canít live without him?
Gunji is a really strong person. As well he also is so sensitive and helps everyone. What I like to tell you is that we had some hard moments like now and he always find the way out and use the time. He often came to me and says: All would be ok! Don’t worry be happy! Relax! That is a point I really like about him.
9) What qualities would you have of him?
I like to unite, mixing, combine and put it all in the music together between different music arts like Visual Kei, club mix and new sounds. Those melodies should be recognizing in my songs. But I am like I am. I won’t change my style, because I like it to combine the old Japanese traditional in myself.
The name Adapter is English but the important point is that the word comes from Japan. I like to explain the meaning: The point on the end of each sentence we also have it in Japanese language but the meaning in Japanese is like in Europa the exclamation mark. Nevertheless the expression is much more important. Through my charming point is my smile. I’m always smiling.
10) How do you see yourself today, in one year and in the future?
Since I am on tour the time is running and running so fast for me, that is not normal. These experiences are really important for me, than in the future I like to go frequently around the world for touring.
11) How looks a normal day in your life? When you have free time?
Sorry, but till this point on tour we hadn’t time o lot to see so much things. At one day we stayed in Rube in France. There we walked around the streets and on walking we ate Panini. We enjoyed it. We felt us like European people, because in Japan it is not allowed and we have to respect the manners. We were so happy and felt free.
12) What is the must have on your travel the hole time?
I take every time two talismans with me from the temple of Kyoto. One is for my health, because sometimes I have some backside problems. The outer one is between my IPhone and the case. Those should protect me and that I have much lucky days.
13) Who are you of your music idols?
I don’t have an idol. Some of my favorites I like is Susumu Hirasama. As well I am a big fan of P-Model. Few months ago I visited a live show of him and I did some pictures together with him. I like Denki-Gloove too.
14) Which animal would you be and why?
I want to be a cat, than a cat looks always so friendly and they are the symbol of freedom.
15) Something you would like to do in your life what you didn’t do before? If you private or when you are a musician.
I love cooking. So I can imagine to work as chef the cuisine and conjuring some nice menus.
